How this got started....

I had one of my most influential "aha"moments back in 2008,  when finalizing an MBTI Type 2 testing which labeled me INTJ. At that moment,  I realized actually nothing is wrong with me, it is just that I am an introvert person and most of my life's surroundings are extravertly dominated.  All these moments of frustration, misunderstanding and many, many energy draining hours in my life suddenly made sense, hallelujah!  Since then, the topic caught my interest, I read several books, websites and blogs and got to understand myself and the world around me much better.  Over the years, I not only learned to interpret my closest friends and family, it has almost become second nature to guess, feel, perceive whether my colleagues and acquaintances are introverted or extraverted. And to analyse how this makes them behave, how it alters their perception of reality.

But only recently, when a colleague pointed me in the direction of the book "quiet"by Susan Cain, and after several talks with my coach (who is supposed to help me become a better manager, but she does so much more than that, thank you A.!), did I come to the conclusion that I not only want to observe but take action, for myself and maybe even for a wider community of like-wired people out there.
Writing has always been a favorite pass time for me for 3 main reasons:
  • you can do this on your own,
  • at almost any place and time of the day,
  • you can think over what exactly you want to say, erase and reformulate as much as you want
and it clears my head and energizes me at the same time, what more do you want?
So, this is me, revealed a bit, much more to come!
